Heh, great news re the kicking. Wait till it does a complete somersault - quite the experience.
Even better, wait til he/she drives her little hands/arms into one side of your uterus and stretches his/her little legs and bum up high into your ribs and stomach so that your previously round belly now has the freaky protrusion and you can only squeeze half a bag of oreo's into your stomach! First time Simon saw that he jumped back and screeched "what the heck" (actually something slightly more R-rated, but this is a family blog) - but I'm sure Kris will handle it with more grace.
