Head, Shoulders, Knees and Toes.....

So, Jenny had told me about this program at the Greenboro library. Apparently she took Evan and he loved it. I was told there was singing and movement for kids...and that there were lots of kids. So, I managed to get Evan there (10:15 start!). It wasn’t too much of a shock to see I was the only father there among about 15 mothers. It wasn't until after I sat down and got Evan ready that I learned that I had to sing as well. (Jenny hadn't mentioned that).

Struggling with the vocals and lyrics, I carried on as Evan decided he had had enough and started to crawl out of the room into the library. He did this about 3 more times until the lady leading the singfest started to pay special attention to Evan but primarily myself. I think that they felt the "father" was having a hard time. Even worse, I then discovered I had left my wedding ring at the house. So here I am, with this cute 1 year old....with no wedding ring on....trying to "parent". No wonder all the ladies kept smiling at me.

In the end I gave up and let Evan wander. What did he find? A full size replica of the Flintstone's car! Cool! That beats books and singing anyday!
