This past Wednesday, Evan got his first taste of team sports. ;) We signed Evan up for T-ball because he has been talking about baseball since last year so we knew he would love to be a part of the t-ball scene.
Evan's team is called the Kenmore Heat. He has his very own baseball hat and t-shirt (who cares if it goes down to his knees - he definitely doesn't seem to mind). The team is made up of other boys and girls that are roughly 3 - 5 years of age.
While they didn't really play an official game, Evan's first experience included moving from station to station to get a chance to practice the many different aspects of t-ball. The first station was all about learning to throw the ball and catch. Evan did quite well and impressed the parent/coaches. The next station looked as though they were playing duck duck goose so I'm not really sure what that was about. After that, the next station was about learning to pitch. The kids has to aim at a board that was attached to the fencing and try to aim for it. The last station for Evan was the actual t-ball. Evan did very well at each station and loved every moment of it. Afterwards, it there was a chance for each kid to hit the ball off the t-ball and then run to each base. Evan was the first batter up and ran like a champ. He's a total natural more importantly, loved playing and learning.
