Really Confirmed

Wed, Feb 22/06

Up to now, we had just done home tests so Jenny decided to give Dr. Edwards a call to get a real test done. Dr. Edwards was away but they told her to just come in anytime to get it done. The Mazda needed to get checked out at the transmission shop (which just happens to be in the neighborhood) so we combined trips.

We go in; Jenny explains the situation and the nurse?!? says "If you've done them at home and they're positive...then there's no need for another test". She explains there are no such things as false "positive" tests....only false "negative" tests. There's something we never knew. Regardless, for piece of mind, she peed in a cup and they took their tester and did the test. To quote "You're pregnant - congratulations".

We set-up our first appointment for March 8th. After that, there will be monthly visits. As we left the office, and drove back to work, it seemed (at least for me) that....and this sounds stupid....that the world was black and white. However, every time I saw a child or baby or even a stroller....it was in colour. Does that make sense? Regardless, I'm really, really happy!
